Lucky Star Farm

Nestled on 20 peaceful acres between Iowa City and Kalona, Lucky Star Farm offers visitors an authentic taste of Iowa farm life centered around sustainability, education, and family connection. Since moving to the farm in 2011, owners Susan and Rich Young have worked to create a welcoming, family-focused farm that provides ethically raised food while giving guests opportunities to learn about small-scale agriculture and rural living. Home to ducks, goats, sheep, llamas, farm dogs, and cats, the farm invites visitors to slow down, connect with the animals and countryside, and experience the diversity of life on a working Iowa farm. Through unique overnight stays and hands-on educational experiences, Lucky Star Farm creates memorable rural getaways that leave guests with a deeper appreciation for local food, farming, and the beauty of the Iowa countryside.
