The quality of life we enjoy living rurally is something that is difficult to put into words, but rather it must be experienced. This week we brought Shelly Greving on the podcast to highlight her brainchild, Evolution of the Heartland, a movement highlighting  how rural America is changing. My guest today is Shelly Greving of Emerge Marketing Solutions. That’s her main project, but you’ll hear that it’s far from her only endeavor. During the episode, you’ll hear what it was like trying to find a job after the early 2000’s tech bubble burst, what a turtle has to do with the beginnings of Shelly’s business, and why there’s a 3 stuck in the middle of her business’s name. Shelly is a true champion of community and is as hands on as they come. Her impact is far and wide and will continue to grow as her business evolves. Hydroponics tour highlights agritourism program

Evolution of the Heartland hosted immersive agritourism events in four Iowa communities this summer and fall, including one in Stanton Sept. 12, where participants toured a hydroponic farming operation, winery and orchard, the Swedish Heritage and Cultural Center and a drone company specializing in aerial photography and videography as well as surveying, mapping and product application.
