One of my favorite things about exploring Iowa is discovering places that don’t always make the travel guides. Anton’s Garden in Waterloo is exactly that kind of find. With German beer, open green space, local history, and a relaxed atmosphere, it combines several things I love about Iowa travel in one stop. Whether I’m meeting friends, enjoying a drink with my husband, or simply looking for a place to slow down and enjoy a beautiful afternoon, Anton’s Garden reminds me that some of the best experiences happen when you wander a little and leave room for unexpected discoveries.
